Section 1.3: Web3 – The Read-Write-Own Internet

Web3 introduces a completely new vision for the global internet. Built entirely around the principle of **absolute digital ownership**, Web3 shifts administrative authority away from tech monopoly boardrooms directly to you.

### What Ownership Means
If you hold a Web2 account (like Facebook), you simply possess an access license that can be revoked or restricted by administrators at any time. You do not own it.
In Web3, your computer identity, transactions, and holdings are mapped directly onto decentralized blockchain nodes.

– **Absence of Arbitrary Intermediaries:** There is no centralized entity with the keys to censor or block your interactions.
– **Censorship Resistance:** Your actions cannot be wiped out by administrative decree.
– **Sovereign Assets:** Your balances reside on public-key coordinates that only your private key signature can authorize.
