In the earliest stage of the digital network, famously known as Web1, content creation was restricted to a select pool of website owners. Web pages were strictly static, meaning they functioned like a digital bulletin board or newspaper.
### Interactive Limitations
– **Read-Only Medium:** Users could only read information from pages with virtually zero interactive abilities.
– **Zero Contributions:** There were very few opportunities for page visitors to write comments, post media content, or build online digital communities.
– **Self-Hosted Hubs:** If you visited a website, you simply consumed what the hosting node published. You could not easily comment, sign up, or engage.
